Elected to Parliament in 2024, Aphra brings a wealth of diverse professional and political experience to Westminster. An economist by background, she spent a decade working as an economic adviser at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs before successfully co-founding and running a family veterinary business with her husband. Deeply rooted in public service long before entering the Commons, she also served as a local councillor and deputy leader of the Conservative group on Richmond Council.
In Parliament, she brings her sharp economic and environmental expertise to her roles scrutinizing foreign policy on the Foreign Affairs Committee and championing rural communities and businesses.
