The Lib Dem-run Windsor and Maidenhead Council is imposing a 20% hike in pitch fees for the 2024/25 season, with further increases expected next year. This means disadvantaged children and local clubs could be priced out of vital sports activities.
Local clubs and residents are also raising concerns over poor pitch management, with grass left uncut and maintenance lacking. It’s clear the council is failing to manage even basic contracts, all while increasing fees that damage our community.
