On behalf of Windsor Conservatives, I would like to express my most sincere and profound sorrow at the loss of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The whole world will mourn the loss of a figure of continuity, who built the Commonwealth from the ashes of war, a unifying figure. But for us in this - her hometown - memories will be much more personal.
This will be a difficult time for all Windsorians, both Royal and non-Royal. As a local party, we stand ready to support our elected representatives in the important duties they will undertake over the next few weeks.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the Royal Family at this difficult time.
